This morning, it has been confirmed that eleven guests at a prestigious hotel in Atlanta have been diagnosed with Legionnaires’ disease. However, it is believed that there could be as many as 50 more victims. The medical investigators that are handling the case are not sure what the exact source of the infection is, but all the victims attended a conference at the same hotel. It should be said that the bacterium has not been confirmed at the actual hotel yet. The hotel, however, has hired outside experts to conduct tests to find the source of the legionnaires’ bacterium. Those who were staying at the hotel and those who had future reservations have been relocated to nearby establishments for the remainder of their stay.
