Two Florida bars were hit with a $30.8 million verdict after a horrible crash. After a night of underage drinking, Devon Dwyer hit and ran a Florida teen who was also drinking. Jacquelyn Faircloth, the victim, was left with permanent brain damage after the crash. She is no longer able to communicate or care for herself. Faircloth’s attorney’s claimed that the two bars that served the teens were the ones liable for the accident. The bar that served Faircloth took responsibility for there part. However, the bar that served Dwyer claims that Dwyer was not drunk before the accident, so they were not liable. The jury disagreed. They awarded Faircloth $30.8 million to be paid by the two bars involved in the accident.
