Major retailers such as Walmart and Costco, are recalling their store brands of baby formula. This recall comes after the disturbing discovery of possible deadly bacteria in the products. Kirkland and Parents Choice baby formulas may be contaminated with Cronobacter spp. This bacteria has been known to cause a fatality rate of 80% in newborns. This was first discovered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency after test results concluded the presence of this bacteria. This comes after two previous recalls on the same brands in October. Below is the information on the recalled products. If you have one of these products, please stop using them immediately.
