New Takata Recall For BMW Vehicles

car accident

This isn’t the first time BMW has had a recall for their  Takata airbags. In fact, many customers may be upset to learn that many vehicles that were in the original recall, are back on the list. When the original recall was issued, the proper airbags were not ready, so vehicles were given temporary airbags. Now, proper airbags are available. This means BMW owners will have to get these new airbags installed, even if they already had the interim repair performed.

If you are an owner of the affected cars (posted below,) you should get this repair right away. These Takata airbags can potentially explode, and seriously injure, or even kill vehicle occupants. It should be pointed out that this is no ordinary recall. The National Traffic Safety Administration has said the Takata airbag recall is the largest and most complex recall in U.S history.  Over 41 million vehicles have been recalled due to these airbags, and 16 people have been killed by them in the U.S alone. Over 24 deaths and 300 injuries have been reported worldwide.
