Are you expected to pay any fees or costs upfront?
How much fees is the lawyer going to be entitled to? You are going to want to know this at the beginning so that there’s not any ugly surprises at the end of the case, when the lawyer wants to get paid.
What’s going to be required of you? What are you going to be asked to do in a lawsuit? You don’t want to jump into a lawsuit not knowing parts you’re going to have to participate in.
How long is my case going to take? You are going to want to know the answer to this so you can decide or understand when you eventually can expect to get paid on your case.
Will my case go to trial? That’s a question that most clients want to know and understand and it goes back to how much are you going to have to participate?
