1604 Wrong-Way Driver Was Deputy US Marshal

wrong-way

Last week, a man was arrested for crashing his truck into a sedan on 1604. The man arrested was drunk, and driving the wrong way. The most shocking news to come of this crash is the fact that the accused drunk driver is a deputy US Marshal. 40-year-old Jonathan Jones was arrested last Friday for intoxication assault charges. A spokesman for the Marshal service said; “We take seriously any allegation of misconduct by our personnel and an internal investigation will be conducted.” Mr. Jones crashed into a woman’s car, pinning her inside. She was taken to University Hospital for her injuries.

Jones has been relieved of his operational duties and has been placed on administrative leave. In a statement, the Marshal service says they are cooperating fully with the San Antonio Police department, and their investigation into this incident.

Wrong-Way Driving

Wrong-way driving is a serious issue, and not to be taken lightly. These accidents often are the result of drunk driving and many crashes result in fatalities.  If a victim is lucky to survive, they often face a long road to recovery. Extensive medical treatment is required, and that comes with expensive medical bills. Often, victims suffer from back and neck trauma, or even traumatic brain injuries. Sometimes, broken bones or other internal injuries can result from these crashes.
