Dresser Recalled For Failing Government Test

According to Consumer Reports, certain dressers sold at Home Depot and Safavieh are being recalled due to failing government safety tests. According to the report the two companies ay the dresser does not meat stability standards. These two dressers are the seventh and eight dresses recalled in less than a year. Fortunately, there isn’t a large amount of these dressers being recalled. just over 700 are being recalled from Safavieh, and just around 200 are being recalled from Home Depot.  More information on the affected dressers will be posted below.

a mirror finish with champagne drawers (model CHS6403A),

and a mirror finish with steel teal drawers (model CHS6403C).

Each chest is about 32 inches wide, 16 inches deep and 29 inches tall. The dressers were sold at Wayfair, Overstock.com, Gilt, and other online retailers from November 2017 to November 2019.

Affected Product (Home Depot.)

Home Decorators Collection Print Block 4-Drawer Whitewash Chest (model HDC-14012)

Each dresser is 44 inches tall and weighs about 96 pounds, is made from mango wood with a distressed finish, and was sold between May 2015 and December 2019.
