Everyone has their own traditions when it comes to bringing in the new year. Going to a public party, or watching the ball drop with your family are some common ways to celebrate. However, many people like to host their own parties. Having the party come to you is a great way to show you don’t need to leave the house to have a good time. When you’re the host, you can make sure everyone kicks off the new year right! Here are some tips to help you plan your party safely.
Drink Responsibly.
Enjoying a bottle of champagne isn’t out of the question when it comes to New Year’s Eve. But if you are going to be serving alcohol, you should be a responsible host. If someone has too many, make sure they have a safe way home. Drunk driving is a serious risk for everyone on the road, and you might be held liable. Depending on the state you live in, even if you’re not the one driving, if you supplied the alcohol you could be held responsible for any damages the driver caused after leaving your party. Remember to encourage guests to get a designated driver before they come. If its another friend, or a rideshare app, be sure everyone can to safely make it home.
Fireworks
Fireworks can be fun, but they’re also extremely dangerous. Mixing colorful sparks with alcohol is an especially bad idea. It might be hard to avoid the temptation, but your house will thank you. Not having to worry about a house fire is much better than risking injury or calling a firefighter.
Have Plenty of Food
Staying up till midnight really builds up an appetite. When hosting, be sure to have plenty of food for your guests to snack on, as wells as non-alcoholic drinks. Not only will this keep your guests happy, but it’ll help counter the effects 0f alcohol or stop others from getting too carried away with their drinking. It’s important to have options for people to choose from.
Whatever you do at your party, remember to have a good time. It’s time to celebrate with your friends and family! Here’s to a great year. Happy New Year from Villarreal and Begum: The Texas Law Guns!
