On November 22, a daycare worker was in court and pleaded no contest to the charges pressed against her. Heather Reese, 41, was accused of striking a child across the face at work. A video of the incident surfaced, showing Mrs. Reese hitting a 3-year-old boy back in October. In the video, Reese was seen gripping the boy’s arm and attempted to shove something in his mouth. The boy then spat out what was forced into his mouth, and Reese then struck the child across the face after she forces the boy to look at the floor to see the substance he spat out. The accused was charged with misdemeanor assault and was fired from her position at Bright Beginnings Childcare. No other charges will be filed according to the prosecuting attorney.
