Recall: over 262,000 cars affected

Model affected by recall

Do you own a brand new 2018 or 2019 Mazda? Well, we have some bad news for you. It turns out that the car manufacturer has found a problem with the software installed in their cars and is issuing a recall. According to a government report posted Wednesday (7/10/19), the owners of these defective products will receive absolutely no warning before their car suddenly stalls. The models affected by this problem are the Mazda6, CX-5 SUV, and some Mazda3’s from 2019.

The good news is that there have been no crashes or injuries due to this recall. However, owners should expect a recall notice sometime before August 26. If you do have one of these models, we encourage you to be extra careful whenever you have to drive.  Mazda dealers will fix this issue at no cost to the consumer. Simply take your car to your local Mazda dealer and they will reprogram the software so you will no longer have to worry about the risk of stalling on your way to work. If you have a car model older than 2018, you will not be affected by this recall. You can learn more about this issue here.
