Infant Inclined Sleeper Recall: 73 Deaths so far

recall

Over 165,000 infant inclined sleepers are being recalled by four different companies. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there is a risk of these sleepers suffocating infants. This is exceptionally shocking, considering similar products were recalled last year as well. In fact, in 2019, over one million sleepers were recalled for similar problems. These recalled products have resulted in over 1,000 incidents, which included serious injuries. On top of this, there have been reports of 73 infant deaths linked to these sleepers. Below will be more details on the affected strollers. So far, there haven’t been any incidents linked to the sleepers listed below.

Of the listed products, the “SwaddleMe By Your Bed Sleeper” brand initially refused to issue a recall at all.  This is after the CPSC warned consumers of the dangers of this product. Finally, the brand has launched its voluntary recall, but claims this is only a “precautionary measure.”

If you have any of these sleepers, you are urged to stop using them immediately. These recalls are significant, and other sleepers are expected to be recalled as well. If you’re unsure if your child’s sleeper is safe, please visit the CPSC website to ensure your product is safe to use.
